Did people use their healthstones and healing potions — and did anyone die when one would have saved them?
How are “preventable” deaths decided?
- Deaths where someone went from above 75% health to dead in under a second don't count — there was no time to press anything.
- For every other death we check whether their healthstone or healing potion was actually ready (a regular healthstone and a healing potion can each be used once per pull; a warlock's Demonic Healthstone every ~60 seconds).
- If using it would have given healers 3 or more extra seconds — based on how fast they were losing health — the death counts as preventable. Healing-absorb debuffs and stuns are taken into account.
- Deaths after a called wipe, or after half the raid was already dead, are ignored. Tanks aren't included.

Did people have a defensive up when the boss's big hits landed — and do they press them as often as the best players of their spec?
How is this measured?
- Big hits are boss abilities the top 25 players of each spec (from lorrgs.io) regularly answer with a defensive.
- Timing counts how many of those big hits you had a defensive active for, while you were alive. Top guilds don't cover every hit either, so matching the fastest-killing guilds counts as 100%.
- Usage compares how many defensives you pressed with what top players of your spec press in the same amount of time alive — wipes and deaths don't count against you.
- Cooldowns and charges are learned from each player's own casts, so suggestions only ask for presses you actually had available.
No defensives are being tracked.
Who got hit by boss abilities that can be dodged — fewer is better.
How do we know what's dodgeable?
- Each ability's own description is read (from Wowhead). Words like “players in their path” or “within 7 yards of the impact” mean you can move out of it; “random players” or “all players” mean you can't.
- It's then checked against the 6 fastest kills of this boss on WarcraftLogs: if the best guilds rarely get hit by it, it counts. If a role in the best guilds eats it every cast, it doesn't.
- Hits = times someone got caught — standing in a puddle for 5 seconds counts once, not once per tick.
- Raid-wide mistakes are damage the best guilds never take at all — it happens when a mechanic is missed, so it isn't one person's fault.
- After a called wipe, nothing counts. Think an ability is wrongly listed? Use ✕ (not dodgeable) or + (dodgeable) on it.
